elcome to the online version of Japan people!
Please do expect a lot from us, about Japan, and obviously about the JAPANESE MUSIC TOO!
Before we start anything, shouldn't we get to know more about Japan first? Yup, so here it goes!

General Information!
Japan is surrounded by countries such as Korea, China and Russia.

The name of Japan's National Flag is called Hinomaru. The red ball in the middle actually depicts the sun! And our Singapore flag depicts the Moon, and the Stars! :DD

Like every single country, Japan has a National Anthem too! I bet it means a lot despite it being short!

As compared to Singapore, we are really really really really very very small, and this is how we know why. Japan has a population of 127,771,000 people (as of 2007).
Needless to say, Singapore has far lesser people. However, we are one of the most populated country in the whole wide wide wide world! Is that something that we should be proud of? Humph, maybe.

These are the yen. (円) It was quite difficult to distinguish between the coins because most of them were almost the same...

Japan has got 47 prefectures in total! It's just basically parts of Japan being splited up to form all those prefectures.

The Japanese I must say, are NOT afraid to wear whatever they want out. Like the picture above, she isn't afraid or embarrassed to just wear it, and walk on the steets. I doubt Singaporeans would so this because I won't want to either....
But it must be said that they have an AWESOME sense of fashion!

One of the most frequently seen clothes people wear on the streets are the Kimonos! Remember to fold it left over right people!

Hungry yet? Well who wouldn't? In every traditional restuarant you visit in Japa, I bet you'll be immediately hungry at the sight of the delicious sashimi, and the mouth-watering sushi!

Japanese Culture!
Ever watched Memoirs of a Geisha? Nice righttttt?? I know it's really very nice! But anyways, Geisha has been a part of Japan for a very very long time! Geishas (芸者) are also called "person of the arts". However, please do take note that they are NOT prostitutes. Oh, and a VERY VERY INTERESTING FACT ABOUT GEISHAS FROM THE PAST: *Ahems* The first geisha's were men.

If you're wondering whether that is Darth Vader the ancient times, you're wrong! That is a picture of a Samurai (侍) in armour, 1860s. Old Old Picture.. Samurai were expected to be cultured and literate, and over time, samurai during the Tokugawa era gradually lost their military function. :(
